Al Rahman International Pte Ltd began as a modest home-based setup in Singapore in October 2023 — with a single shelf, a few boxes of freeze-dried fruits and candies, and a vision to make everyday products more accessible. What started as a side hustle selling essentials and sweets to our neighbourhood quickly gained traction across online platforms like Amazon, Shopee, TikTok, and Lazada.

Driven by customer trust and word-of-mouth support, we went from hand-packing orders on the living room floor to importing products in bulk and fulfilling wholesale orders across Singapore and beyond. As demand grew, so did our operations — and we formally registered Al Rahman International Pte Ltd as a wholesale distributor of candies, freeze-dried fruits, and FMCG goods, supporting micro businesses, resellers, mini marts, and budding entrepreneurs with flexible, low-risk inventory solutions.

But as the business evolved, so did our vision.

Transitioning out of general FMCG was a natural move for us. While reselling household products gave us a solid foundation, it lacked the personal connection and creativity we craved. Candies, on the other hand, brought a sense of nostalgia and joy — a shared language of celebration and comfort. They allowed us to connect more meaningfully with our customers and offer products that sparked delight. We also noticed a gap in the market for halal-certified and vegan-friendly treats, especially from a Muslim-owned supplier that understands the community’s values and needs.

By focusing on confectionery and freeze-dried snacks, we’ve created something more than a business — a space where small sellers can start without fear of high MOQs, where retailers can discover trending products, and where customers can enjoy quality treats with peace of mind.
